MKK Swing Disk Screen
MKK developed the Swing Disk Screen to separate and remove impurities and other foreign materials in a continuous process from the waste water and sewage sludge and scums formed in the treatment of sewage. The conventional screens have suffered from clogging by hair, cotton waste and other fibrous material and they are also considered unsuitable for use in the primary settling tank due to its a high concentration of solid matters. Thanks to its unique design, MKK's Swing Disk Screen overcomes these shortcomings.
Features
- A scraper extends inside the disk to ensure total removal of all debris and foreign materials adhering between disks and thereby prevent clogging.
- The disks are of monobloc drum construction which enables high-precision machining and keeps the exact clearance between scraper blade and disk to a minimum, thereby ensuring the precision removal of adhered foreign materials. A screen blade ,engaging of over 20 mm with the disk, prevents hair and other fibrous materials from snaggling around the disk.
- Treating capacity can be adjusted by changing the rotational speed of the screen drum and a feed flow regulating device is equipped at the upstream side of the screen drum to control the feed water volume, thereby ensuring foreign materials are picked up and discharged smoothly.
- In the event feed water and sludge is of high density slurry with much suspended solids, rotating type scraper is recommendable instead of fixed type scraper to remove foreign materials more efficiently.

Best suited machine is selected for each particular application from the above models and we are ready to provide consultation. Small mesh size (2mm & 3mm mesh) screens are not recommendable for raw sludge.
