Mitsubishi Automated Screen with Telescopic Arm

The Mitsubishi Automated Screen with Telescopic Arm is installed over the water surface, thereby facilitating inspection and maintenance. In addition, the telescopic arm allows scum and other residue to be scraped away from anywhere on the screen. The unique arm sliding mechanism with the balance weight mean that the scraper operates very quietly and with low energy requirements.

The large effective screen width gives the unit a high scraping capacity and allows the stable scraping off of large-size foreign materials.

  • Drive apparatus is not installed under the water and easy for maintenance.
  • The screen covers whole width over the water channel, thereby providing the wider screening width and realize high efficiency performance.
  • Submersible type is available for regions liable to deluges and flooding ,and furthermore traveling type is also available for covering plural water channel upon the client's request.
  • The telescopic arm is of rigid frame construction allowing a wide rake to be fitted for wider water channel. It ensures stable rake operation thanks to little tilting against screen. This rigid configuration also enables to use smaller mesh screen.
  • Raking point can be set at any desired depth to scrape the residue.
  • Unique arm sliding mechanism with the balance weight offers quieter and low-energy operation.
  • Drive apparatus is installed over the water channel and the arm with rake can be also positioned above the water to allow easy check and maintenance.

Structural Drawing

Mitsubishi Automated Screen with Telescopic Arm is comprised of a driving unit, upper & lower arm, rake arm, screen, wiper, chute and frame. Telescopic arm is driven by chain.
When starting the machine, the telescopic arms are lowered until they reach the prescribed depth and rake is engaged with screen at prescribed pressure, then rake starts to scrape the residue upward direction.
When the rake approaches the prescribed height point, the scraped residue is disposed by wiper to the chute and rake is stopped at the prescribed point.
