We actively promote development of new technology and new products under
the initiative of the Research and Development Department based on our
advanced technology, modern production facilities and efficient management
to meet the diverse needs of the present and the future.

We focus attention on environmentally-friendly hydrogen and are developing
constituent technology related to hydrogen generation such as advanced
desulfurization, steam reforming and separation and purification based
on existing fuels including LNG, LPG and kerosene, and new fuels including
GTL.

We are developing technologies that cope with various needs in the semiconductor
and chemical fields, in addition to highly pure and high precision separation
technologies that conform to GMP and HACCP such as supercritical extraction
and chromatographic separation in the pharmaceutical and food fields.

We are developing biological treatment technology and physical and chemical
treatment technology wit the objective of reducing wastes as well as advanced
treatment technology of emissions and wastewater resulting from industrial

We are studying the application of special, functional microbes that remove
environmentally hazardous substances, to wastewater treatment by separating
them from the natural world based on gene analysis, physiological property
analysis and activation tests.

We are constantly pursuing key technology such as constituent technology
including separation and reaction, analysis and measurement techniques
to check for operation status of plants and material technology to ensure
reliability of plant facilities. Especially in material technology, we
provide life assessment technology of materials for aged plants operating
over 10 years based on assessment examples accumulated over the years,
life assessment of materials and conformity assessment study, which is
highly appreciated by our customers.
