Development and Sale of GMP-Conforming Small Centrifugal Separator
¦÷sing our own method, Mitsubishi Kakoki has developed and started sales of the horizontal centrifugal filter HZ400PH, a smaller version of the HZ-Ph series, which conforms to GMP (a standard for pharmaceutical production and quality control).
¦öhe HZ-Ph type centrifugal filter has the following superior features conforming to GMP:
¦öen units (our company's result) of the HZ-Ph series have been delivered in Japan centering on the pharmaceutical industry while 66 units have been delivered overseas by Krauss-Maffei of Germany with whom we are technically connected. Both orders and inquiries have been buoyant since the first sales two years ago. ¦ïeanwhile, as new construction and renovation of facilities are expected due to an increase of spin-offs and outsourcing of production sections of pharmaceutical companies with deregulation in the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law to be revised in April next year, the market for pharmaceutical related facilities and equipment is expected to further expand. The demand for the GMP-conforming horizontal centrifuge HZ-Ph series is also expected to increase. ¦öhe HZ400Ph type GMP-conforming horizontal centrifuge (inner diameter of basket: 400 mm, capacity: 11 liters) has been developed in response to requests from laboratories and customers needing a small production volume, as the conventional four types with a large basket capacity of 43 to 332 liters have been unable to satisfy their needs. ¦öhis small model, while following basic functions of the conventional series, seeks additionally high separating performance (max. centrifugal effect 2000 G), compactness and ease of handling. It is also designed in consideration of optional mobility. ¦ùe intend to expand sales of the HZ-Ph series including this small model not only in the pharmaceutical industry but also in the specialty chemical and highly functional food processing industry that require frequent changes in small batches of a variety of products or need complete elimination of contamination. ¦öhe price of the HZ-Ph series including the small model developed at this time ranges from 24 to 55 million yen (made of stainless steel) and we have established a target for annual sales of 1.5 billion yen in two years. |
