[Philosophy]
Recognizing that environmental preservation is one of the most important
issues facing mankind today, Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha, Ltd. (MKK) endeavors
to continuously reduce the environmental impact of its activities, and
to constantly contribute to society through the activities of its three
divisions of plant engineering, environment control, and chemical machines.
[Guidelines]
Recognizing that its activities inevitably entail an environmental impact,
through its consumption of energy and raw materials and the discharge of
waste, MKK strives to minimize that impact in the operations of its three
divisions, which involve the design, manufacture and installation of equipment
for industry and environmental improvement. The company promotes continuous
reduction in environmental impact in the following ways:
- The company works to prevent environmental pollution and pursues continuous
improvement in its environmental management system.
- The company observes applicable environmental protection laws, regulations
and ordinances, as well as other agreed requirements concerning its business
activities and products.
- The company adopts the following as the main themes of its drive to reduce
environmental impact:
(1)Energy saving
(2)Reduction in use of paper and in waste discharge,
and greater use of recycling
(3)Development of new products to reduce the environmental burden,
taking into account environmental impact at all stages from
shipment to disposal of products
- The company asks suppliers to take into account environmental impact in
relation to raw materials, parts, products and services delivered to the
company.
- In order to put these environmental guidelines into effect, each division
enacts environmental control objectives and targets, which all staff members
are to strive to meet. Further, these objectives and targets are to be
periodically reassessed, and revised as necessary.
- The company commits to ensure all its employees and those at affiliated
companies are fully informed of these environmental guidelines, and endeavors
to ensure the understanding and cooperation of its collaborating companies.
